Our Story

A Family-Run School
for Families

Music has always been at the heart of our family.

The Douglass Family
Who We Are

Built from a simple belief — music lessons should be inspiring, encouraging, and genuinely enjoyable.

Noah Douglass School of Music is a family-run school in the heart of the Treasure Valley — founded by a family who lives and breathes music every single day.

We started this school because we believed families deserved something better than a generic lesson mill. We wanted to create a place where every student is known by name, where progress is celebrated, and where lessons feel like the best part of the week — not a chore.

As parents ourselves, we understand the trust it takes to hand your child over to a teacher. We don’t take that lightly. Every family that walks through our door becomes part of ours — and we are genuinely invested in your child’s growth, confidence, and happiness.

Noah D.

Founder & Lead Instructor · Drums, Guitar, Bass, Voice & Songwriting

Noah’s story begins on the Oregon coast and winds through the wilderness of Homer, Alaska — a childhood shaped by creativity and a love of music that never left him. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Florida, was signed as a drummer to Boise’s own Esterlyn, and toured across the US and Canada before spending two years living and performing in Scotland and England.

That real-world experience is what Noah brings into every lesson. He doesn’t just teach technique — he teaches how to think like a musician, develop your own voice, and genuinely enjoy the process of getting better. Whether your child is picking up drumsticks for the first time or you’re an adult returning to guitar, Noah meets you exactly where you are and builds every lesson around your goals.

Behind the Scenes

Sheniz D.

Business Manager

Originally from London, Sheniz brings years of music industry experience to the school — and a personal understanding of what it means to be a musician. Before dedicating herself to running the school she was a vocalist herself, performing and developing her own artistry alongside her work in the industry.

That background gives her a unique perspective. She knows firsthand the dedication and joy that music requires — and it shapes the way she supports every family. Sheniz is the warm, welcoming voice you will hear on the phone and the first point of contact for new families. As a mother herself, she understands exactly what families need and works hard to make sure everyone feels at home from day one.
